Me doing PVP and goodbye to the Violet Proto-Drake?

I saw this picture and it kind of reminded me of doing PVP….

It shows about my level of dexterity and my general approach – I’m such a kitten.

Speaking of PVP I am getting so miserable at the prospect of Children’s week. In order to continue my push for the Violet Proto-Drake thing and the What A Long, Strange Trip It’s Been achievement I have to do School of Hard Knocks.

I wonder if Blizzard can tell me just how many Holy priests (with 2 Healing specs – one Holy and one Disc) have ever managed to capture a flag in EoTS? Similarly how many get close enough to action to return a flag in WSG? I mean, it just doesn’t happen. The whole point of being healy and priestly is that you DON’T get up close and personal. You stand back and heal people. I will be so dreadfully upset if my whole campaign that will take me over a year to achieve is spoilt because I didn’t manage to return a flag in bloody WSG.

I don’t mind if they make it to kill people in the BGs, or win in each one (although the way alliance play in WSG that alone would be quite an achievement) – I can do that with friends, but for ME to do this stuff just seems so terribly far fetched, it’s making me sad to think about it. I have worked so hard to do all these mad crazy things to have it taken away from me because of some insanely hard PVP goals would be such a shame.

As a disc priest in BGs, I regularly run the flag.

Besides, being a healy priest in PVP is completely different that being a healy priest in PvE. There is no “I don’t want to get close and personal” version of PVP, you just kind of get used to it.

Penance + holy Fire = your friend. If you’re holy take advantage of the Surge of Light smite procs to deal some additional damage when taking out flag carriers.

Agreed, this is going to be very tedious. I don’t mind a bit of pvp in these achievements but only when they’re fun and doable by anyone with enough time spent… I really am truly hoping this will be a vicinity based one but I fear not :(

I hear you, imo arena mount rewards are for achievements in PvP – the grind for a mount should be pure PvE. Having said that, I shall be in the BGs trying desperately to do their silly tasks next week.
