I’ve been mulling over what, who, why and all that about my blog. Then I came across this how to write a better blog thing. At first I thought – I’ve not got time to write every day for 31 days. Then I thought – you don’t HAVE to do one a day for 31 days – you can spread your 31 days over a year if you want – it’s your bloody blog. So I signed up.
Day 1 is to write an elevator pitch for my blog. WTF is an elevator pitch then? Never fear, dear reader, I strive to inform….
“An elevator pitch is an overview of an idea for a product, service, or project. The name reflects the fact that an elevator pitch can be delivered in the time span of an elevator ride (for example, thirty seconds or 100-150 words).”
Mine is a short one.
Guild Mum is a blog for me, by me, that I don’t mind other people reading. It is for me to spout off about (mostly) WOW things to avoid inflicting all of my splurge on my family. The Mum bit is because I AM a Mum of 2 lovely children and also because I treat my guild as my children. It is a place for me to vent other than on the guild forums where I can get over emotional.
So there we are. Not sure that it has helped me work out who my blog is aimed at. I don’t really want the sort of following that some “famous” WOW bloggers have. Sure it would be a big ego boost to think that so many people read about me, but I don’t think I want that sort of responsibility.
I’m interested to see where this blog guide thing takes me, but am not going to say I will do it all, or do any more even. My head is still kind of messed up about losing Dad. My WOW focus has been lost too because, noob that he was, I loved him and loved playing with him (most of the time).
It is a good thing you cleared that out Seph.. My guess is that it took you 5 sek to write that down, as you already solved why you have this Blog a long time ago. Btw i like reading it and i travel by this site 2-3 times a week to see if you write something new
I really love your blog and I would class you as a famous wow blogger and your on the server I started on so that makes it even better. your blog is very intersting as you bring your real life in to mix with wow and write about it thats somthing not many people could do. your blog is awesome!!!
