I’ve left my guild. My beautiful, lovely, wonderful guild.

Why Seph, why did you leave?

I don’t know.

It stopped being fun. It became hard work. It started really, really pissing me off when people came to raids who could not play. People who had their pets taunting when they should not be, people who got caught in freezing blows 9 times in a single run, people who thought it was OK not to bring food, flasks, who thought that just by using devotion aura they could generate enough threat to tank adequately. Maybe I’m being too elitist, but I really believed that everyone read up and learnt about how to play better.

Anyway, it’s done. Me and Ferus have left and made another guild. We’re going to focus on 10 man progression raiding for the more mature player (i.e. like me, who has kids and so “afk kid” does not cause problems). We’re called TakeTen (you can’t have numbers in a guild name, did you know that?) because we feel like we’re on about our 10th take to try to get the shot right. Ferus and I go back a long way. Almost 4 years.

I have so much I want to say and little time, so will save it for another occasion. When I hurt less. When I feel less like the parent who has gone on holiday without her children.
