Seph tries being a horde

Well, great as my guild is, I miss the social parts of the game which I lost when I moved from a guild of 350 or so, to one of 40. When the split happened a few of my friends also left and decided to start anew with a Horde guild. Since then some have faction transferred as well. I kept in touch with some of them via MSN and decided to join them on their new server as a Horde.

So – what to choose? I wanted a healer – I can’t do anything else. Taurens are ugly, so Druids were out. I can’t get to grips with Shaman and I have a lvl 80 Paladin available that I don’t play. It would have to be another priest. I love priests. What race? I’ve started BE moderately recently, so went for a troll.

About level 6 I realised that no matter what shoes you had, the feet always looked the same. UGLY. So I rolled a BE. At last another character that I could make pretty.

I’ve been playing for a few weeks now and am loving the new experiences being a Horde. All the new lore. It’s like reading a whole new fantasy book. The best part so far was finding Lady Sylvanas necklace. She went all sad, summoned 4 Highborne Lamenters and began to sing the most beautiful song. I’ve had it in my head now for the last 3 days. It was wonderful. Google “Sylvanas lament” and listen to it – even if you’ve heard it before – it is very, very beautiful.

I have now worked my way slowly through almost all of ghostlands. It is slow as a priest and I almost gave up with the number of things that I have to kill my way through to collect a few ears, or eyes or fins….

But I made it to level 20 and then I remembered with extreme joy that you can get a mount at level 20. Wheeee! Lots of pretty coloured birds to choose from, but I fell in love with the black one.

Doesn’t he look lovely? I tried to think of a name for him. I googled Black Parrot and came up with the Latin name of Coracopsis nigra. So that’s it – he’s called Cora.

I do like my pony tails and hoop earrings. I had a trip through SFK (OK, I was boosted, but the gear there is amazing) and came away with a new dress, belt, shoulders, staff and a whole host of greens to auction off.

The troll has become my banker and has doubled the 20g that a guildie gave me and the new Seph is starting up in the glyph business. I am having fun again. I don’t even need the social side as much because there’s so much new stuff to do :) Worry not – Human Seph is still my love. She is still raiding, but I have renewed life for the game and I am pleased about it. The best bit – it’s on a PVE server so I will not be ganked. I think that’s one of the key reasons I’ve not got many alts past level 30 – you get to STV and get ganked and I give up. Now I don’t need to worry about running away or hiding at the sight of a red player. I can wave and flirt and continue my quest without having to look over my shoulder all the time and await certain death. Wow is good again.

Your last sentance made me smile! “WoW is good again”.
This is what the game is defined as “A game is a structured activity, usually undertaken for enjoyment”
After everything that has happened this year, you deserve a bit of enjoyment ;)

hehe – nice stuff Seph. WoW is indeed good again. but must take issue with you a little – Tauren Females sure are ugly, but the Bulls man they are cool – once you have gone cow there is no going back.
